My two older kids must love that they have a little brother that is ALWAYS into things. Any time anything is missing we usually know who did it. However, when something is damaged, that really isn't his style. (Aside from the chocolate milk stains in his mattress). Lately we have been finding carpet stains, "art" on the walls, scratches into furniture, objects broken, etc. Every single time when the kids are asked about what happened, it is an instant answer of "Maddox did it". Most of the time Remi will own up to something if he did it because he knows that he will get in a lot more trouble if he lies about it.
Well, apparently Avrie thinks we are stupid. The other day I happened to walk by the boys bedroom to see Avrie squirting a Capri Sun all over their floor and bed. Oh no you didn't!!!! Her excuse this time was that she thought it was just air. Uh huh, sure. This girl is almost 7-years-old! Where is this coming from? Is she acting out because she isn't getting enough attention or what? Sorry sweetheart, but that is not the kind of attention you want from me! Then last night we found a lot of deep gouges in her brand new bed frame. Again, the instant answer of "Maddox did it". Not a chance! These were too high up and he just doesn't do this. She even picked up some plastic lid and said that this is what he did it with. After looking around the room, we found her tool of destruction. We even matched it up with the marks and just looked at her. "Is this what you used?" Busted!! There was no way out of it this time. She finally lowered her head and nodded yes.
Please tell me that she will grow out of this SOON!!

Oh man! I think I would probably beat her! ha ha. Maybe she is sensing the changes coming...with the new baby. Good luck to you...I have absolutely no advice on this one! At least you know who the culprit is...that helps!
So, what I started doing with Keely was taking away her toys one by one. Sounds mean, but worked!
hmmmm, I'm not sure why she'd be doing that. We started a new thing with allowance because we were threatening to spank all the time. It's "money in the mason jar." We put five one dollar bills (for each kid) in a their own mason jar at the beginning of the week. They lose money and gain money depending on what they do during the week. At the end of the week we take a trip to Wal Mart to spend it....Man, this works pretty well on all three of them....Money talks!!!! They think twice before losing a dollar.
